Guardian families

Guardian families provide a loving home for our entire puppies who are selected into our breeding program. The puppy lives in your home does everything you do as a family and they return to us only for breeding. Microchipping ownership of the puppy remains with Amity until the Guardian contract is complete.

This is a very special relationship that the breeder and guardian foster over the 5 years of the contract and often beyond. Becoming a guardian is not something to be undertaken without due consideration and we are happy to give you as much information as needed to help you in this decision. We endeavour to make this relationship and experience a very happy one and acknowledge that we cannot operate our breeding program without guardian families.

The females come to us 1 week before her puppies are due and stay until the pups wean between weeks 6 and 7.  The girls will have up to 3 litters and the boys remain entire for five years and are only required for the “ honeymoon” event.  At the close of their breeding career they will be desexed.
